1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Beijing Weijing Technology Co., Ltd, trading as Mayuniverse, registered in 【待用户确认:主体注册地(国家 / 地区)】 at 【待用户确认:注册地址】 ("we", "us"). They cover the Duck Do apps for macOS, iOS and Android, this website, and the online services behind them (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, buying credits or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The service
Duck Do is a personal AI assistant. Depending on the device, it lets you:
- chat with AI models in the cloud, including web search, voice input and read-aloud;
- on macOS, run AI agent sessions that read and edit files and run commands in folders you choose on your own computer;
- follow, reply to and approve those sessions from your other devices through remote access;
- keep memory, tags, reminders and scheduled messages that sync across your devices.
Downloading and installing the apps is free. Use of AI models and certain tools is paid with credits (section 4).
3. Your account
- You must be at least 【待用户确认:最低使用年龄(建议 18)】 years old to use the Service.
- You sign in with an account on our shared account platform, which may also be used for other products we operate. Your credit balance belongs to that account.
- Give accurate information, keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared commercially or transferred.
4. Credits and pricing
- What credits are. Credits are prepaid units that you use to pay for AI usage in the Service. One US dollar buys 100 credits when you buy on the web or the desktop app. Purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play may give fewer credits for the same price because of the store's fee.
- How usage is charged. Each model has a price per million input tokens, cached input tokens and output tokens; some tools (such as web search, speech recognition and read-aloud) have their own prices. Credits are deducted from your balance according to your actual usage at the prices published on our pricing page and in the account center at the time of use.
- Price changes. We may change prices or add and remove models. A price change applies only to usage after the change.
- Failures on our side. If a task fails because of an error on our side, the usage it consumed is not charged.
- Nature of credits. Credits are a licence to use the Service, not money, e-money or a stored-value product. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, sold, or exchanged for cash, and are not redeemable for anything other than use of our services.
- Expiry. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains open. Promotional or bonus credits may carry their own conditions, which we will state when granting them.
- Refunds. Within 14 days of purchase, a credit pack from which no credits have been used can be refunded in full. Once any credits from a pack have been used, that pack is no longer refundable. Usage that failed because of our error is not charged. Details and how to request a refund are in our Refund Policy.
- Negative balance. If a refund or chargeback is processed after credits have already been used, your balance may become negative and further paid usage is paused until it is settled.
- Claude Code. Sessions you run with Claude Code on macOS use your own Anthropic subscription and are governed by Anthropic's terms; they are not billed in credits.
5. Payments and Paddle
Our order process for purchases on the web and in the desktop app is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all those orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payment and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
- Prices are shown in US dollars. Paddle calculates and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout and issues your receipt.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases. We do not offer subscriptions, and nothing renews automatically.
- Credits are added to your account once the payment is confirmed.
- Purchases made inside the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google under their terms.
6. Refunds
Refunds are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- create or distribute malware, spam, phishing, or content that sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or harassment, or is otherwise unlawful;
- gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data, including other people's computers;
- resell, sublicense or provide access to the Service or its models to third parties, or use it to build a competing model service;
- circumvent usage limits, billing or security measures, or interfere with the Service's operation;
- violate the usage policies of the model providers whose models you use through the Service.
We may block requests or limit usage that appears to violate these rules.
8. Your content
You keep all rights to what you send to the Service and to the output generated for you ("Content"), to the extent the law allows. You give us permission to host, process and transmit your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you — for example, to send a conversation to the model you selected and return the reply, or to sync your chats between your devices. We do not use your Content to train AI models. You are responsible for having the rights to the Content you provide.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including AI model providers, payment providers (Paddle, Apple, Google), and sign-in providers (such as Google). Their services are governed by their own terms. On macOS, agents act on your computer with the tools and permissions you give them, which may include third-party command-line tools you have installed.
10. AI output and agent actions
- AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Check important results before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety-related matters.
- Agent sessions on your Mac can change files and run commands. You choose which folders a session works in and you decide whether to approve actions that the app flags for approval. Keep backups of important data.
- You are responsible for the actions you instruct or approve an agent to take.
11. Changes and availability
We continually improve Duck Do and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the Service available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these Terms; if a change is material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your Duck Do data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, involve fraud or chargeback abuse, or where required by law.
- If we close your account without your breach — for example, because we discontinue the Service — we will refund the remaining balance of purchased credits.
13. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, and they don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
